Project Description

EuroCham Vietnam is the European Chamber of Commerce representing European businesses in Vietnam. With a network of over 1,400 members, EuroCham is a leading voice in sustainable business practices and policy advocacy.

The project “Empowering Change: Strengthening Non-State Actors for a Circular and Sustainable Economy in Vietnam,” funded by the European Union, is a 36-month initiative (starting 1 April 2026). It aims to accelerate Vietnam’s transition to a climate-neutral, circular economy by strengthening Non-State Actors (NSAs) and micro-small-and-medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) particularly women-led businesses in the food, textile, and packaging sectors. The project focuses on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), capacity building, direct technical assistance, and ecosystem engagement, including green finance access and EU–Vietnam sustainable value chain integration.

Project Coordinator (Stakeholder Relations & Content Development)

Job Summary

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for day-to-day project management and coordination across all Work Packages. Acting as the operational backbone of the project, the Coordinator will liaise with Consortium Partners, experts, and institutional stakeholders (including government entities) to ensure timely execution of activities. The Coordinator will translate strategic plans into actionable schedules, monitor deadlines, support documentation, organize meetings and events, and ensure smooth communication between teams. This role is critical for maintaining workflow continuity and ensuring that all deliverables are effectively implemented.

The Coordinator also ensures overall budget oversight at Work Package level, monitors expenses, ensures compliance with EU financial rules, and works closely with the EuroCham accounting team to ensure financial integrity of the Project.

Type of Contract

  • 1-year full-time labour contract upon successful completion of a 2-month probation period; renewable upon successful KPIs delivery and evaluation
  • Expected starting date: As soon as possible 

Key Working Relationships

  • Internal: Consortium Partners and EuroCham Vietnam team
  • External: EU Delegation to Vietnam, Vietnamese Government bodies (MAE, MARD, MOF, MOIT, MONRE, MPI), National Industry Associations, Financial Institutions, and MSMEs.

Main Duties and Key Performance Indicators

Operational Coordination

  • Under the guidance of the Project Manager, translate strategic objectives into actionable monthly and weekly work plans;
  • Independently track progress against the logical framework to ensure timely implementation of all project deliverables.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary focal point for national associations and government bodies;
  • Facilitate matchmaking between MSMEs, EU technology providers, and green finance institutions in collaboration with EuroCham Membership and EuroCham Sector Committees teams.

Content Development & Quality Control

  • Coordinate the development of ESG/CE toolkits, training modules;
  • Coordinate with design team to ensure all publications are aligned with EU visibility guidelines and technical standards.

Event Coordination

  • Lead the organization of policy dialogues roundtables, conferences, advocacy and B2B matchmaking events, as well as capacity-building workshops for NSAs and MSMEs;

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Support the Project Manager in drafting high-quality reports for the EU;
  • Maintain a comprehensive documentation system for audit and evaluation purposes.

Budget Oversight & Financial Compliance:

  • Under the supervision of EuroCham Accounting team, ensure budget tracking is in order.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Training Background

  • High degree in Business Administration, Environmental Science, International Development, Law, or a related field. Specialization in Sustainability or Circular Economy is a significant plus.
  • Certification in project management or logistics coordination is an asset.

Work Experience

  • At least 8 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within EU-funded actions or international development cooperation.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management involving government ministries and private sectoral business associations; exposure to working with chambers of commerce, or development partners.
  • Familiarity with the Vietnamese business landscape, particularly in the food, textile, or packaging sectors, is an asset.
  • Experience in organizing and coordinating multi-stakeholder events, workshops, or high-level meetings.
  • Experience in overseeing budgets within EU-funded or donor-funded projects, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.
  • Experience in developing technical or knowledge content (e.g. training materials, guidance notes, policy briefs) related to ESG, Circular Economy, or responsible business practices.

Required Experience

  • Good understanding of the EU Green Deal, EVFTA, and Vietnam’s National Green Growth Strategy.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage complex workflows and multiple partners.
  • Strong networking and diplomatic skills to engage with high-level institutional representatives and corporates.

Languages

Full proficiency in English and Vietnamese (both written and oral) is required.

Software Skills

Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
